Legendary screen icon, Pete Edochie has revealed why he named his son Yul.

He engaged his fans on an Instagram Live Session where he told them about the significance of the ‘Yul’ and gave his son that name. Apparently a follower had asked him for that particular information. In response, Pete Edochie said Yul is a Russian actor whom he admired while he was growing up so he decided to honour him by naming his own son after him.

Yul Edochie has established himself well in Nollywood and has carved his own identity away from what his veteran dad has done. He’s one of the most sought after actors in the Nigerian movie industry presently. Perhaps the name is having a strong impact on him.
